What does international repatriation cost?
From €2,400 to Europe, from €2,800 to CIS and Russia, from €2,500 to Turkey, from €3,800 to Africa and the Middle East, from €5,500 to the USA and Canada. The price always includes collection, embalming, zinc coffin, all documents, transport. No hidden fees.
How long does a repatriation take?
Usually 5 to 7 working days. Express service: 24 to 48 hours (about 20% surcharge). The time depends on consular opening hours, flight availability and document processing.
Which documents are required?
Death certificate, mortuary passport, apostille, consular clearance from the destination country, WHO health certificate. Further documents depending on the destination. We handle all procurement and translation.
Is a zinc coffin mandatory?
For air transport under IATA rules a zinc coffin is required. Within the EU by road it is often not needed. Most CIS states require it at customs.
Does insurance cover the cost?
Usually yes. Foreign health insurances like ADAC, DKV and Allianz typically reimburse 100%. Statutory German health insurance pays up to about €2,500. We bill the insurer directly.
Can you also transport an urn?
Yes. Urn repatriation is simpler and cheaper than a coffin. The urn needs an urn passport. We organise everything.

Islamic repatriation follows specific rules: Ghusl washing, Kafan wrapping, Tahnit embalming per Islamic requirement, burial within 24 hours. We work with Muslim funeral directors.
